Kicking the dead horse of man-caused global warming

My attention to global warming alarmists is somewhat akin to that when I hear people complain that the French are beaming abuse at them through toasters.

A Swedish climate scientist said recently:

We Are Creating Great Anxiety Without It Being Justified…there are no indications that the warming is so severe that we need to panic.

‘The warming we have had the last a 100 years is so small that if we didn’t have had meteorologists and climatologists to measure it we wouldn’t have noticed it at all.’

“The Earth appears to have cooling properties that exceeds the previous thought ones, and that computer models are inadequate to try to foretell a chaotic object like the climate, where actual observations is the only way to go.”

The gap between what I observe to be true, and what the state of public discourse is, as regards global warming/climate change, is one of the larger mysteries of politics, nay, of human existence. How can we hear, day after day, of policies predicated on the existence of a man-caused global warming that has been found to be missing? by the advocates of man-caused global warming itself?

The UK Met Office says that:

Over the last 140 years global surface temperatures have risen by a bout 0.8ºC. However, within this record there have been several periods lasting a decade or more during which temperatures have risen very slowly or cooled. The current period of reduced warming is not unprecedented and 15 year long periods are not unusual.”

I do not understand why this zombie staggers forward, apparently going from strength to strength.
